Following the release of the relevant draft for comments on May 8, on June 19, the Electronic Information Department of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology officially released the "Standardized Conditions for the Lithium-ion Battery Industry (2024 Edition)" (hereinafter referred to as "Standardized Conditions") and "Management Measures for Standardized Announcements of the Lithium-ion Battery Industry (2024 Edition)", which attracted great attention from the industry.
The Electronic Information Department of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology stated that in order to further strengthen the standardized management of the lithium-ion battery industry and promote the high-quality development of the industry, according to the development and changes of the industry, the trend of technological upgrading and relevant work arrangements, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology revised the "Standardized Conditions for the Lithium-ion Battery Industry" and "Management Measures for Standardized Announcements of the Lithium-ion Battery Industry" and announced them.
At the same time, the "Standardized Conditions for the Lithium-ion Battery Industry (2021 Edition)" and "Management Measures for Standardized Announcements of the Lithium-ion Battery Industry (2021 Edition)" (Ministry of Industry and Information Technology Announcement No. 37 of 2021) are abolished.
The "Standardized Conditions" (2024 Edition) clearly states that it will guide the industry to accelerate transformation and upgrading and structural adjustment, and promote the high-quality development of my country's lithium-ion battery industry. Not only does it put forward higher requirements on the five major links of batteries, positive electrode materials, negative electrode materials, separators and electrolytes, but it also guides enterprises to reduce manufacturing projects that simply expand production capacity.
